Guide for Authors


DESCRIPTION

The Aims and Scope of Journal of Shaanxi Normal University (Natural Science Edition) are assessed and modified on an annual basis to reflect developments in the corresponding field. This means that research topics that have been deemed in scope previously may now fall outside of the scope of the journal as our scientific and technical understanding of the fields evolve and topics become less novel, original or relevant to the journal. It publishes original research papers dealing with the advancement of the mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, materials science, life science, food science, environment and resource science. All papers should focus on the novelty of the research carried out.

 

The online submission system is used for Journal of Shaanxi Normal University (Natural Science Edition). Please visit our editing system http://jsnu.magtech.com.cn, upload your manuscript in accordance with the requirements. If there is any problem, please contact the editorial department in time.

 

The journal operates a double-blind review process. All contributions will be first assessed by the editors for suitability for the journal. Papers deemed suitable will be sent to a minimum of two independent expert reviewers to assess the scientific quality of the papers. The editors will re-review the revised papers and the Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the final decision on acceptance or rejection of papers. The review on scientific quality will focus on research fronts and the innovativeness of the research work.
Peer review is free of charge and publishing fee will be charged after paper acceptance. The papers with favorable ratings and the papers reporting research fronts are free for publication. The deletion, addition or reorder of author names in the authorship list could only be made before publication.
 

PREPARATION

Article structure

Follow this order when typing manuscripts: Title, Authors, Affiliations, Abstract (Chinese), Keywords (Chinese), Abstract (English), Keywords (English), Main text (Introduction, Material and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion), References.

 Title

Concise and informative. Titles are often used in information-retrieval systems. Avoidabbreviations and formulae where possible.

 Author names and affiliations

Please clearly indicate the full given name(s) and family name(s)of each author and check that all names are accurately spelled. Clearly indicate the one author who will handle correspondence at all stages of refereeing and publication. Ensure that the e-mail address is givenand that contact details are kept up to date by the corresponding author.Present the authors' affiliation addresses and postcodesbelowthe names. Indicate all affiliations with a lower-case superscript letter immediately after the author'sname and in front of the appropriate address.Author names and affiliations should be presentedin both Chinese and English

 Abstract and Keywords

A concise and factual abstract is required. The abstract should state briefly the purpose of the research, the principal results and major conclusions. An abstract is often presented separately from the article, so it must be able to stand alone. For this reason, References should be avoided, but if essential, then cite the author(s) and year(s). Also, non-standard or uncommon abbreviations should be avoided, but if essential they must be defined at their first mention in the abstract itself. Keywords of 4~8 are required. Abstract and Keywords should be provided in Both Chinese and English.

 Figures and Tables

Photographs, charts and diagrams are all to be referred to as "Figure(s)". Figures and Tables should be numbered consecutively in the order to which they are referred in the text. All the titlesfor the Figures and Tables should be bilingual in Chinese and English.

 Units and Symbols

Units and Symbolsshould meet the relevant standards, especially payattention to the distinction between upper and lower cases, roman and italic, superscript and subscript.

References

Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and viceversa). The sequential coding system is adopted according to the sequence of references cited in the paper. All Chinese literatures must be presented in both Chinese and English.
