Abstract
In order to study the hemostatic effect of extractive from Paris polyphylla for mice, low, medium, and high doses (5, 10, and 15 g/kg) of Paris polyphylla water extractive and alcohol extractive were used. The mice were treated with gavage for 0.5, 1, 2 and 4 h, and the hemostatic time (BT) and bleeding were measured and compared its′ effects. At the same time, platelet count, platelet pressure, platelet volume distribution width, prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), and fibrinogen (FIB) platelet and blood coagulation indexes were measured using eyelid sampling. The results showed that the water extractive and alcohol extractive of low dose group decreased significantly on BT and blood loss in mice, and middle and high dose groups very decreased significantly. The high-dose group significantly decreased in 0.5, 1 and 4 h, and very decreased significantly in 2 h, but the amount of bleeding was significantly lower in 2 h.The hemostatic effect of alcohol extractive is better than that of water extractive. In platelet and blood agglutination indexes, platelet number, volume, volume distribution width, and FIB were all significantly higher, but there was no significant change in PT and APTT. The results showed that Paris polyphylla extractive has a good hemostatic effect on mice, and the effect of hemostasis is best incase of alcohol extractive with higher dosage for 2 hours. The main effect is to increase the platelet number, activate platelet degeneration, and increase the FIB value for promotes hemostasis in mice.
